Mini Wheel

Tuesday evening was Kiwanis Night at our library. The kids were each given a free book, lots and lots of stickers, fake tattoos, they all took a turn batting at a pinata, and the local children's museum brought out a few yard games. It was a nice little event and I think Dylan enjoyed it.
We met our friends the Idstein's at the library, and went for ice cream after the event. One of our local ice cream shoppes (yes, it's a Shoppe) has a small arcade in it, and almost everything costs only a quarter! The kids rode the Merry-Go-Round more than once.

Dylan also took a turn driving the Ice Cream truck. The truck had a strange movement, it kind of lurched back and forth, almost like a horse would move. Dylan seemed alarmed at first, but I told him he needed to drive the truck and did he ever steer that truck! The steering wheel was going around and around and around.

Last but most certainly not least, the Mini-Wheel! Brian, Janine, Joe and I decided this must have been a carnival-going-out-of-business purchase. It looked like it was from the 1970's with some touch-up paint, and the clown was rather creepy looking. And I'm not one that is particularly bothered by clowns. After our kids had already ridden on it, we noticed all the little places for fingers to get pinched. But hey, they all survived and had a good time!
